The University of Minnesota’s Global Health Department is conducting a 48-hour Humanitarian Crisis Simulation exercise from September 5th-7th, 2014. The goal is to equip participants with necessary skills that will assist them in working in any humanitarian crisis. The exercise will be held in Cannon Falls, MN. Volunteers and students will be expected to develop plans to help with problems associated with crisis, including infrastructure, health, sanitation, security, and human rights. Students and volunteers from NAAD have signed up to add their expertise.
Presently, the course is only open to volunteers. Volunteers are encouraged to contact Sarah Kesler, MD, through their website.
